On September 22nd 2012, Davidson County provided a bus tour of the county called the “Rural Roots Tour” The day long trip included visits to a number varied businesses, and stops at many points of interest through out the county. We were asked to participate as one of the stops and to provide a twenty-minute overview of alpaca farming, show off the animals to a group of 45 people from various places and backgrounds, and to allow time for questions and answers. We received a thank you card from the tour organizers Sue Smith and Joan Wright, and a positive comment from the tour group, as one of the highlights of their day.
